The Energy Watch Group is financed by funds, which flow into the Ludwig-Bölkow Foundation. It works above party lines and independently of economic individual interests. A lot of the work, especially those of the members of the advisory board, is done voluntarily and unsalaried. Donations are tax-privileged (in Germany). Objectivity needs independent financing. Why it is worthwhile to support the EWG

Energy policy needs objective information: Previous stakeholders pursued individual political or economical interests. Independent information avoid economic and business wrong decisions and investments of billions. Transparency of information pushes on the implementation of sustainability based innovations like energy efficiency and renewable energies. The Energy Watch Group neither supports any forced euphoria nor scares tactics, but a fact-based analyze and an overall picture.
